2018: Found Poems and Weather Reports
My sixth book of poems. Inspired by A.R. Ammons’ book Tape for the Turn of a Year, I kept a record of the year 2018 in long skinny lines. It is sort of a journal of my personal life and observations, and it is a sort of journal of the plague that was Donald Trump. Thoughts about music—Mahler, Schubert—the border cris1s, California fires, deaths—John McCain, George Bush the elder, Nicanor Parra and Tony Hoagland, and the weather. 208 pages, with footnotes!
